The Genesis Trust has been established in Bath for 22 years. It became a registered charity in March 1995 and is managed by a Board of Trustees and 16 paid staff members.

Nick Mayo, - Chief Executive

Nick was appointed Chief Executive in January 2017 to oversee the charity's strategic development as it prepares to move to Walcot Street in the next 18 months. Nick has had an extensive career in telecoms and ecommerce, as well as running smaller businesses in other markets.

Paul has been with Genesis since 2001 and as its director for 15 years, has helped grow the charity into what it is today.

Caleb Mallard, Lifeline Centre, Manager

Caleb Mallard, -  Lifeline Centre, Manager

Caleb has a BA in Theology and was a youth worker and minister prior to coming to Bath. He manages the Lifeline Centre supported by Gloria and Sean.

Gloria Ware, - Lifeline Centre, Founder Manager

Gloria has been with the Lifeline Centre since its beginning in 2003. She helps manage the project and volunteers, and provides one-to-one advice for Lifeline visitors.

Sean became one of the two Lifeline Centre Deputy Managers in 2014. He assists Gloria in the running of the Lifeline Centre.

Denise has been with Life Skills since its beginning in 2006. Denise manages the project, leads groups and manages Life Skills staff and volunteers.

Matt Prescott, - Life Skills Facilitator

Matt joined Life Skills in 2016 and assists Denise in leading the groups and managing the volunteers. Matt has a degree in graphic design and an MA in animation. He's previously worked for Genesis as a volunteer.

Anthony Ward, - Furniture Project Manager

Anthony joined The Genesis Trust in March 2015 to develop and run the Furniture Project. He has a background in Business improvement, management and training as well as in property and furniture restoration.

John Stauber, - Furniture Project Team Leader (Vans)

John joined the Furniture Project in February 2016. In the past he's worked as a Project manager for school's ICT and in the solar panel industry. As a driver at the furniture project he hopes to help the department grow.

After 6 years volunteering at our Furniture project Ros is now a permanent member of staff and is very key to the project's success!

Michelle started at the Genesis Trust in 2012 and has moved from managing the fundraising team to developing our new projects.

Jo Byron, Head of Fundraising

Jo Byron, - Head of Fundraising

Having supported Genesis as a consultant for 18 months, Jo has taken on the leadership of the fundraising team. She brings over 15 years experience within charity fundraising and management and has worked for a wide range of charities including Amnesty International and the National Osteoporosis Society.

Louise Daniels, - Relationships and Communications Manager

Louise has a background in Public Relations for national and international brands. She has spent the last five years specialising in PR and marketing for ethical businesses and social enterprises. Born and bred near Bath and now living here with her family.

Kelly Hall, Key Relationships Manager

Kelly Hall, - Key Relationships Manager

Kelly joined the Genesis Trust in August 2017, with over ten years experience working in the charity sector. Before arriving, Kelly worked on funding major projects at Wells Cathedral. Kelly will be supporting the Next Steps Appeal for the Genesis Centre on Walcot Street.

Gus Langley, Grants and Trusts Manager

Gus Langley, - Grants and Trusts Manager

Gus brings more than 20 years experience in the trusts and grants sector to Genesis. His wide-ranging experience includes; WWF-UK, RVS Royal Voluntary Service, Hft (learning disability provider) and the Christian HIV and AIDS charity ACET (AIDS Care Education and Training).

Hilary Long, Community and Events Fundraiser

Hilary Long, - Community and Events Fundraiser

Hilary’s first career was in the Army serving in The Royal Artillery in Germany, Cyprus and the UK. Following the flag for several more years and twenty one houses later, she has now settled with her family in Bath. She began volunteering with Genesis in September 2016 in the Channelling Passions team and took up the role of Community and Events Fundraiser in April 2017. Having completed 139 sky dives in her youth, Hilary plans to do her 140th skydive as a tandem dive for Genesis in 2017!

Vitalie Duporge, Communications and Project Support Coordinator

Vitalie Duporge, - Communications and Project Support Coordinator

Vitalie first joined Genesis in January 2017 as a volunteer within the Channelling Passions team. In August, she took on the role of Communications and Project Support Coordinator. She has previously worked as Volunteer Coordinator for an off-grid environmental charity based in southern Spain, and volunteered with various NGOs internationally. She has a BA in Spanish and an MSc in International Development.

Peter Setterfield, Finance and Data Administrator

Peter Setterfield,  - Finance and Data Administrator

Peter joined the Genesis Trust in March 2017 and manages the finance and data activities. Previously he spent 15years working for the BBC in finance and prior to that 15 years in the brewing industry.

Sir Peter Heywood, Chair of Trustees

Sir Peter Heywood, - Chair of Trustees

Trustee since: 1995

Current occupation: Director of a marketing support business and a founder of the Bath Christian Action Network (BathCAN).

Work/Life Experience: Peter has worked for major international companies in the UK, Africa and Belgium and formed his own company in 1996. In 1991, he set up the management team of the Soup Run. This was the start of what later became the Genesis Trust.

Ian McKay, Deputy Chair of Trustees

Ian McKay, - Deputy Chair of Trustees

Trustee since: 2003

Current Occupation: Director of Programmes and Collaboration at Send A Cow.

Work/Life Experience: Ian lives in Bath and has worked in commerce, consulting and charities. He was International Director for Bible Society, then CEO of the mentoring charity, Mowgli Foundation, before joining Send A Cow. He is also a Trustee of A Rocha UK.

Work/Life Experience: Stephen lives in Bath and was Director of an engineering charity designing aids for disabled people.

Current Occupation: BANES Local Councillor

Work/Life Expereince: Cherry lives in Bath and is on the Board of Bath Festivals. She is also a Trustee of Hope for Tanzania.
