Working in close partnership with B&NES Connecting Families Services and the B&NES Council, Family Matters recruits and trains volunteers to provide mentoring and support to local families with a range of complex needs.
Volunteers meet with families for up to two hours a week, for a minimum of six months, helping them to bring about long-term positive change in their family life. Visits may involve listening and signposting to professional help, supporting children to get to school, teaching healthy cooking, reading with children and budgeting.
