Bike Bath 2020 Medal Rides

The Medal Ride series replaces the Bike Bath event due to take place on 5th July, which has unfortunately been cancelled. Choose from 17 different routes of various levels and take part over the summer. Check out the Bike Bath website for more info and to sign up. Entry is £3 per person plus optional £3.50 for a medal. Contact our Community and Events Manager for fundraising support.

My Prudential RideLondon

My Prudential RideLondon replaces the Prudential RideLondon event which was due to take place on 16 August 2020 but has been cancelled.

My Prudential RideLondon includes four challenges for all ages and abilities that participants can do on a route of their choice, wherever they are in the world, on either 15 or 16 August:

  • My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100: 100-mile ride
  • My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46: 46-mile ride
  • My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 19: 19-mile ride
  • My Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle: An event that allows you to set your own challenge (starting from 1km) on the wheels of your choice: bikes, push scooters, skateboards, trikes, balance bikes, roller skates, wheelchairs or anything that is self-propelled (e-bikes are fine too).


Participants who wish to ride for Genesis Trust need to register in advance and select their challenge at The site will also provide a link to Virgin Money Giving where they can set up their fundraising page.

Once signed up, participants will be able to download the new My Prudential RideLondon app in event week. This will give every participant and supporter a unique ride day experience, including:

  • – A GPS function that enables friends and family to follow a rider’s progress on the virtual Prudential RideLondon route
  • – Creation of a personalised Prudential RideLondon certificate that shows the rider’s completed route and ride time
  • – Selfie frames to give riders personalised Prudential RideLondon finisher photographs
  • – Direct donation button through to each rider’s Virgin Money Giving fundraising page


In addition, every rider aged over 18 who registers will have the option of being entered into a fantastic competition that has 25 top-quality prizes available including a brand new Brompton Bicycle valued at more than £1,000, a HIGH5 nutrition bundle worth £250 and top-of-the-range cycling equipment including a SRAM groupset and Zipp wheels.

Brecon Beacons 10 Peak Challenge, on Saturday 12 September 2020

Fully guided, fully supported hike by Dave Talbot Adventure Events. This isn’t a race but a superb challenge event – guaranteed great memories and tired legs.

A traverse of the central section of Brecon Beacons National Park taking in 10 of the main peaks. This is a trek across this mountain range,  not a circular route and therefore logistics of getting back to the start are included with the event. The guided group trip will take you through the heart of the national park, covering  32 km and 1800 meters of ascent and descent – it’s a big day out and it’s important that you join us prepared.

Provided: Mountain guiding throughout the challenge, logistics and vehicle support, water stops and snacks, transport around the challenge.

Leap of Faith! – Saturday 26 September 2020 ******POSTPONED UNTIL 2021******

Unfortunately we have had to postpone the Abseil from Bath Abbey Tower until next year. Watch this space for the new date and details for the bigger and better event in 2021!


Bath Marches – Saturday 3 October 2020

A 9 or 15 mile walking event starting out from the Rec in central Bath, and following one of two beautiful routes into the countryside north of the city. Walk as a family, a team from your workplace, or join the other walkers as an individual. It’s free to register – just raise what you can for Genesis. Trionium Hilly Half – Sunday 15 November 2020

A tough off-road hilly two-lap half marathon (or one-lap ‘Ultra-10k*’ 12.45km race) with spectacular views throughout! Sign up here and make sure you let our Community and Events Manager know that you will be taking part, so we can support your training and fundraising efforts!

Bath Half Marathon March 2021

The organisers are putting plans in place to make sure the 2021 Bath Half will be delivered in a COVID-secure way. They are developing a number of different event plans to suite a range of possible scenarios – read more here. London Marathon April 2021

We had an amazing team of six runners in 2019, fundraising nearly £10,000! Our team for 2020 is already full! Along with RideLondon and Swim Serpentine, the London Marathon is part of the London Classics – a trio of challenge events in the capital.

It isn’t just the well known events that make a big difference to us.  There are plenty of endurance activities, relaxing walks and muddy adventures to take part in.  We partner with Dave Talbot Adventure Events,  which organises events as diverse as coastal Californian cycle rides, climbing in the Atlas Mountains, trekking from Santiago de Compostela, 3 peak challenges in Wales and many more. We’re now a registered charity with Discover Adventure – an adventure travel company with fundraising at its heart. From trekking in the Rockies to cycling across Zambia, there’s a challenge out there for you!
