Every year, between 1 and 7 June, charities across the UK come together to thank volunteers during the national Volunteers’ Week, through a variety of activities.  Although many of those activities have been cancelled for 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we still want to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of our wonderful team of volunteers.

Your support is essential to the Genesis Trust – you make our work possible and have been doing so since the 1990’s when Genesis was founded.  There are many ways in which you volunteer and we are so grateful for every minute of time you give to support homeless and vulnerable people in and around Bath.

Sadly we can’t celebrate your volunteering efforts with a coffee morning or a big event but please know we are thinking of you and are so pleased that you are part of the Genesis family.

We recognise that it is a difficult time for everyone – those who can’t currently volunteer because projects are closed, or you are shielding, and for those who are still volunteering in less than ideal circumstances.  Thank you for the many ways in which you support Genesis.

Over on our social media platforms we are asking you to share your favourite memories of volunteering for Genesis.

We have also featured a couple of volunteering stories which can be read by clicking the links below.
