Staff Team
Genesis Trust is run on a day to day basis by a small team of dedicated staff who both support, and are supported by, a large number of wonderful volunteers. A mix of both full time and part time, and based in one of our locations either in Oldfield Park or at the Gateway Centre on London Road.
The Genesis Trust is lead by a committed team of trustees (see more here).

Previously she's worked in retail, hospitality and as an office manager in various organisations in Bath, Bristol and London.
Emma Drew

Emma joined the team in July 2021. She previously worked for International Development charity Send a Cow, based outside Bath. Emma first came to Bath to study Creative Writing at Bath Spa. After graduating, she worked for a number of independent Bath businesses and also began volunteering with Genesis Trust’s soup run.
Rachel Baker

Rachel joined the team in September 2023. Following a lifelong career as an entrepreneur working in locations such as Silicon Valley, San Francisco and Nevada, Rachel wanted a change. She has previously worked with the homeless in Las Vegas and San Francisco and volunteered at the RUH over her maternity period in the UK. The work that Genesis Trust does is very close to her heart.
Susannah Padiachy

Susannah has joined the team at Genesis as Life Course facilitator. She has worked as a therapist for many years with families, couples and students, supporting people especially with backgrounds of trauma, bereavement and addiction. Susannah also volunteers as community and outreach coordinator at her church and as part of the Chaplaincy Team of HMP Eastwood Park.
Joe Wade
Furniture General Manager
In 2022, Joe joined our team, bringing his impressive track record of reviving top UK retailers into the charity sector. His mission: transform our furniture division into a premier destination for antique, art deco, mid-century, and contemporary pieces. With our team's backing, Joe is propelling Genesis Furniture to new heights. Fun fact: Joe once sold diamonds to pop groups JLS and Atomic Kitten.
