Volunteering Opportunities

At Genesis Trust Bath we have a number of volunteer roles based in a variety of locations across Bath, Keynsham and Somer Valley. New roles are sometimes created in response to the needs of our clients. You can click the link to read more about the different volunteering opportunities with Genesis Trust. Current Volunteering Opportunities

Genesis Furniture van crew and warehouse support

Genesis Furniture needs volunteers who can drive our furniture vans and help in the warehouse. You do not need a special license to drive our vans. Volunteers must be fit enough to lift and carry sofas and other potentially heavy furniture. Genesis Furniture collects quality donated furniture to sell online. The profits from these sales supports the charitable work of Genesis Trust which supports homeless and vulnerable people.

If you have any questions, please contact Joe Wade, Furniture General Manager, at furniture@genesistrust.org.uk.

Genesis Life Projects Volunteer

Genesis Life Projects supports people who are homeless, vulnerably housed, or facing complex challenges such as financial insecurity, mental ill-health and substance misuse. We provide food, clothing, showers, laundry facilities, phone and IT access, and much more at Lifeline, our day centre. In Life Skills we offer people access to a range of health and well-being activities that are practical, creative and therapeutic. In Life Connect we share a meal together in a warm and welcoming space.

We’re looking for volunteers to join us on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday mornings, 9.00am–12.30pm, to help make our visitors feel welcome and offer a listening ear, while supporting the running of the centre with tasks such as making toast and coffee and more. A friendly chat over a cup of tea or coffee means so much to the people who use our centre, and it’s our wonderful volunteers who help create that warm, welcoming atmosphere.

If you have any questions, please email Ivana at office@genesistrust.org.uk.

Other ways to support Genesis Trust

Volunteering is one way to support our work but we offer other opportunities as well. For example, you could participate in one of our challenge events and fundraise for us, pray for us or donate essential items like furniture, clothing, toiletries and much more. Click the button below to read more.
