Today we are celebrating the many wonderful runners who braved the rain to take part in the 2020 Bath Half Marathon in aid of the Genesis Trust. We are so thankful to each and every one of them – most of them came and ran the official course, and some chose to put the 13 miles in away from the crowds. With Covid-19 in our midst, many of us are having to consider our actions carefully, and we know that our runners faced the pressure of some extra decision making, in terms of whether to participate and if so, how. We respect all the various decisions made. We are also hugely thankful to the volunteers who earned money for Genesis by volunteering to staff the runners’ bag storage facility, and to the many generous sponsors who contributed to the fundraising.
Twenty runners came and ran the official course, and six more decided to run the distance in other locations. So far they have raised over £8000! It’s still possible to sponsor individual runners, or if the efforts of all of them have inspired you, please donate here.
