Pupils at Monkton Combe Prep and pre-Prep schools have released a Christmas single which they hope will raise hundreds of pounds to help vulnerable and homeless people in Bath.
The children at the school just a mile from Bath came together at the school’s recording studio recently to record the carol ‘Open up your hearts’, composed by music teacher Julian Scott.
Director of Music at Monkton Prep School Helen Harris said, “This is such an exciting project for everyone at Monkton. All of the children have been practising for weeks to learn this wonderful Christmas song. The words of ‘Open up your hearts’ are perfectly in tune with the Christmas message, our ethos as a school and our wish to help others. We are so pleased to be supporting such an important charity as the Genesis Trust and being able to support their essential work.”
Copies of the recording are now available to purchase on CD for £5 here.
We would encourage you to buy this wonderful piece of original Christmas music with its uplifting message. All proceeds will go towards helping homeless and vulnerable people locally.
