As 2017 comes to a close we have been reflecting on the generosity of our supporters who have enabled us to reach out and help hundreds of people in Bath this year, people struggling to meet their basic needs and those most isolated. Via our ten interlinking projects we have given our visitors opportunities to move forward and lead healthier and more fulfilling lives in the future.
From businesses, schools, universities and colleges to cafes, shops, shoppers, and local people, young and old, to churches and sports groups; people from all walks of life have contributed. It has not just been financial gifts raised via bake sales, carol singing, sports events and even a Genesis Christmas single which have made a huge difference; we have received clothing donations at our Lifeline drop-in centre throughout the year, furniture to our Furniture Project and drums and art materials for our Life Skills classes.
During November and December we took part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. We were incredibly grateful for the amazing show of kindness from people giving via post and online and are now delighted to announce that with your help we raised over £12,000 . This will enable us to keep Lifeline open on a Saturday and increase the one-to-one support that we offer.
With your help we have felt truly blessed to be able to make a difference to local lives over the course of this year and are ready for whatever comes next. Until then, from everyone at Genesis Trust we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
