Genesis Christmas Gifts
Sharing Christmas Gifts with your Community
Following the success of our Gift Appeal, which supported both Foodbank parents and Genesis Life Projects clients with Christmas gifts, we are expanding the idea to include new gifts to donate.
Genesis Virtual Christmas Gifts are a way to share Christmas with your community. With so many gifts given and received over Christmas, charity gifts are a way to give a gift to your loved ones which benefits someone else.
This Christmas you can choose one of our gifts to give as a gift card to friends and family, all whilst supporting homeless and vulnerable people in your community.
How it works
- Choose one of the gifts below.
- Select a gift card, an e-card or just make a donation.
- We will process your gift and get it to you. You can then share it with friends and family.
- Because these gifts are virtual, the gift you’ve given acts as a donation towards the work of Genesis Trust and Bath Foodbank. We will use it where the need is greatest across our frontline projects.
Gift Types
Gift card – a gift information card and greetings card will be posted to you using Royal Mail, 2nd Class within 5 days of your order. You can write your greetings card and send to your loved ones along with your gift card. Please note, the last postal date before Christmas is Wednesday 18th December.
e-card – an email with a PDF attachment of your gift will be sent to the address you provide within 5 days of your order. You can then forward to your recipient’s email or print out.
Just donation – if you’d prefer to make a donation, this gift will be a representation of how your donation will be spent across our projects.
All Christmas gifts are virtual and act as a donation toward the work of Genesis Trust. We will use your donation where the need is greatest across our frontline services at Genesis Life Projects and Bath Foodbank.

Q&A
I used to give to the Gift Appeal. Are these Christmas Gifts going to actually buy the gifts for children at the Foodbank?
These gifts act as a representation of how your donation will be spent within our frontline services. The Gift Appeal helped us cover the cost of the toy vouchers we gave to Bath Foodbank families over the Christmas period and these new gifts will do exactly the same thing. They will provide funds to cover the costs of our Christmas activities and into the New Year. This includes the toy vouchers for Bath Foodbank and Christmas meals and presents for clients at Genesis Life Projects.
Why are you not running the Gift Appeal this year?
We wanted to try something new which incorporates the Gift Appeal, but offered a wider selection of gifts people could buy. Our hope is that it helps people understand a little more about what we provide, spread the word a bit wider and engage some new people in supporting Genesis Trust’s projects.
Can you send the cards straight to my friends and family?
Unfortunately our website doesn’t have the capability to capture that information from you, but if you want to send it to Emma (emma.drew@genensistrust.org.uk) in an email, please tell her the recipients name and address, and what message you’d like written in the card.
Can I buy more than one gift?
Yes you can. Visit our Genesis Gift Shop to view all the gifts and buy as many as you like!
Can my church or business buy these gifts?
Yes, if you want to use these gifts as a way of fundraising as a community then please do! The gifts have different costs attached to them to cater for different people or groups who might want to support our work. If you’d like to talk to us about this please email Hilary at hilary.long@genesistrust.org.uk.
Will my donation be spent on the gift I’ve chosen?
These gifts are a representation of how your donation will be spent within our projects. We will spend your donation on our frontline projects at Genesis Trust and Bath Foodbank, where the need is greatest. This is because if we had 70 people buy Christmas dinners and we only needed 40, this wouldn’t work. The gifts can help you show others how Genesis and Bath Foodbank are making a difference locally. And it’s a way to share Christmas with your community.
