Highlights from 2025

We would like to give you some key highlights from 2025. During the year Bath Foodbank merged with Keynsham and Somer Valley Foodbanks and together provided:

  • 4893 food parcels distributed, providing food for 9258 people, including 2905 children.
  • 145 food parcels delivered to the homes of people with health and mobility difficulties
  • Each month during 2025 an average of 100 new households received food support for the first time.
  • 78,900kg of food was distributed to people in our community. That food was donated by you.
  • There were approximately 670 Foodbank sessions held across our ten foodbank centre locations.
  • We had 200 volunteers, collectively volunteering for a total of approximately 17,000 hours.
  • We provided further support and advice through our partnership with Citizens Advice and Clean Slate during many of the foodbank sessions.
  • We were able to provide extra support at Christmas time with toy vouchers and Christmas treats for families who were in crisis.
  • Winter items were also provided to help people manage the colder months.

Without the contribution of all involved, the above highlights would not be possible.

National Food Drive

Trussell and Waitrose have partnered to do a national food drive from 22-28th March to help alleviate food poverty across the country. Over the week, different Waitrose stores will open their doors to Foodbank volunteers who will promote the food drive. On Thursday 26th March, Waitrose in Keynsham will host a Foodbank drive.

If you’d like to donate food items from our ‘most wanted items’ lists below, you can do so at any store. Click here to see donation locations in Somer Valley, Keynsham, Saltford and Bath. Maybe you could do a food drive at your work, with your neighbours or a sports or hobby group.
