We all know about the stress and cost of sending Christmas cards every year! Too often it ends up being another thing to tick off the Christmas to do list rather than an expression of seasonal cheer.
Add to that the environmental concerns of sending cards every year. While most greetings cards are recyclable, did you know that up to 50% of Christmas cards in the UK are estimated to be dumped or burnt? There is also the carbon footprint associated with paper production, printing and posting.
With that in mind, we’re encouraging people to send Christmas e-cards to friends and family this year, and donate the money you would normally spend on cards to support homeless and vulnerable people in Bath.
We’re using a website called Don’t Send Me A Card, an online e-card platform that encourages individuals to make donations to charities. Their mission is “to innovate the greeting card into the 21st century to help charities”.
We have recently had the support of local artists and graphic designers to create our own bespoke Genesis Trust Christmas cards! We’re sure you will love the designs, and your friends and family will be delighted too…
Save money, save the environment, and make a difference to support homeless and vulnerable people locally. What better way to spread the Christmas cheer?
