The Bath Foodbank can’t do what it does without a dedicated group of volunteers. With that in mind, we’d like to take some time to honour Tony Pinnegar who passed away last January. Tony, along with his wife Naomi, started volunteering for Bath Foodbank at our centre at Manvers Street Baptist Church when we first opened 10 and a half years ago.
Tony was always interested in talking to people and hearing their stories, taking time to listen and making people feel valued and respected. He always did this with warmth and kindness.
There are countless examples of how well-liked Tony was. One of these related to a person, who used our service quite a bit over the years and always tried to come on a Tuesday knowing Tony would be there.
For those of us who had the pleasure of volunteering with him, we also know that Tony was always humble and had a great sense of humour.
He is sadly missed and our thoughts are with Naomi and his family.
We would like to thank all our volunteers who give Genesis Trust and the Bath Foodbank their time to help us support others in need.
