This week just finishing was the celebration of national Volunteers’ Week, and we want to give thanks for 34 years of commitment by wonderful volunteers who have helped shape and grow Genesis Trust into what it is today. Bath Foodbank started 13 years ago and many of those who started it are still volunteering and remain vital to its operation today. We thank all our trustees from over the years (who are also volunteers) for their dedication and wisdom in directing and guiding Genesis Trust.
Nick Mayo, Chief Executive, is so grateful for the generous commitment made by volunteers and says, “So many kind and compassionate people both in the past and today donate their time, skills and energy, and truly make a difference to the lives of vulnerable and homeless people in our community. The heart of Genesis Trust is to love our neighbour and our volunteers certainly demonstrate this every day. Indeed, Genesis would not exist without them!
So, we honour past, present and future volunteers. Genesis Trust’s vision is to see a thriving and supportive community in the Bath area where everyone has hope and a future, and we thank you volunteers for your dedication to making this happen.”
Here are some photos taken of volunteers currently supporting Genesis Trust. We are so grateful for the regular and reliable help in all the various parts of Genesis including Life Projects, Bath Foodbank, Genesis Furniture, and not forgetting the less visible things such as administration, infrastructure and raising money. We love to welcome teams from local businesses and organisations to give us a spot of extra help too.
