What an incredible year!
Thanks to you, with your generosity and tenacity, we have supported hundreds of hungry, homeless and vulnerable people in Bath and the surrounding areas this year, as they take steps towards an independent and healthier life. You can read all about the impact you have made in our latest Annual Report Snapshot.
More than 700 volunteers donated 31,000 hours of time and energy: cooking and serving meals to rough sleepers; distributing warm clothing and bedding; and keeping people safe on the streets at night. Our Lifeline drop-in centre received over 8,000 visits this year from people experiencing a range of complex problems related to debt, housing and addiction. The Bath Foodbank provided over 12,000 emergency food parcels for individuals and families in poverty and our Furniture Project rescued and redistributed 6,750 low-cost, recycled household items.
And that’s not all…
This year we’ve made positive progress with our new Pathways Programme; supporting and empowering people to make long-term changes in their lives. 41 people with a history of homelessness, isolation and/or substance misuse were given the opportunity to gain work experience and training with our Furniture Project. Our Family Matters volunteers worked alongside 13 local and refugee families, and Life Skills reached out to 109 people suffering with mental health issues – helping them to learn new skills, gain confidence and realise their future goals.
None of this would have been possible without your support. So please take a moment to read about the difference you are making. You have helped to bring hope and a future to some of Bath’s most marginalised residents. Thank you!
